Day 1: Pick, Prep & Record

  • 🎵 Choose a fresh song you love — skip the overdone hits. Tip: Try Billboard’s Year-End Hot 100 lists for ideas.
  • 📝 Print the lyrics.
  • 🎧 Listen to the original 3x.
  • 🎤 Sing along twice.
  • 🎶 Try a karaoke version on YouTube.
  • 📱 Record yourself (audio only is fine).

Day 2: Self-Evaluation & Song Work

  • 🔥 Warm up first (YouTube vocal warm-ups are great).
  • 🎧 Listen to your Day 1 recording with lyrics in hand.
  • 🔍 Circle parts with pitch or rhythm issues.
  • 🎯 Focus on 2 problem areas (15 min each).
  • 🎤 Sing full song 2x and record again.

Day 3: Polishing & Progress

Day 5: Emotional Connection

  • 🚫 No singing today — just listen and reflect.
  • 🎭 Close your eyes and imagine the story behind the lyrics.
  • 🧥 Start planning your performance outfit!

Day 6: Performance Practice

  • 🔥 Warm up.
  • 🎤 Record 5 takes while holding a mic (or hairbrush!).
  • 🎯 After each take, ask:
    • Am I too stiff or too bouncy?
    • Am I expressing the emotion?
    • Is my mic technique helping or hurting?
    • Do I have vocal dynamics or is it all one volume/intensity?

Day 7: Karaoke Night!

  • 🎤 Do a 2-song run and record yourself.
